Major Investment Opportunity in Ghana (Student Hostel)

Image
I'm proud to be associated with JoeTex Farms (i.e. the JoeTex Group of Companies), a business entity located in Somanya, one of my favorite places in Ghana.  They specialize in real estate, luxury cars and mango farming, and JoeTex currently has a major business opportunity available in the form of a large, uncompleted student hostel they're selling.  I wanted to use this post to once again push this property. Front view of the JoeTex hostel structure HIGHER EDUCATON IN GHANA The higher education sector in Ghana is booming - and take from that what you will.  The job market leaves much to be desired; most degrees are arguably irrelevant, and it doesn't appear as if these realities will change anytime soon.  But still, there are more Ghanaians attending and graduating from tertiary institutions, most notably universities, than ever. Relatedly, there's also a high and increasing demand for student housing.  Ghanaian universities tend to have their own dormitories....

Land for Sale @ University of Environment & Sustainable Development (Update)

Image
Recently I was fortunate enough to get the scoop on some land for sale within the direct vicinity of the University of Environment & Sustainable Development (UESD), which was just commissioned by the President of Ghana less than two weeks ago. President Nana Akufo-Addo commissioned UEDS on 5 August 2020. If you want a recent example of what I'm talking about, take a look at the community surrounding the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Madina.  What was once a relatively-bland area is now highlighted by high-rise student hostels, premiere shops and some of the best restaurants/supermarkets in that pa...

Land for Sale in Somanya (University of Environment & Sustainable Development)

Image
I have a homey named Joe Tetteh who owns large swarths of land within and adjacent to Somanya , with Somanya being a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana.  He's into a lot of different businesses, but his primary economic activity is mango farming and exporting.  And accordingly he owns a company called JoeTex Farms . Joe Tetteh (far left) in Germany circa 2013. Thus most of his land is actually dedicated to that activity.  However he also sells some for residential and commercial purposes.  In fact to my knowledge he's the one who sold the land which the Government used to erect the soon-to-be-commenced University of Environment and Sustainable Development . So with the university itself being situate on the main (Accra-Kpong) road, he still owns the acres of land behind it.  And recently he took me back there and said that he wanted me to market it on GHfind .  So the purpose of this post is to compile the related information I've accumulated thus far....
